Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) is making an ambitious move into Thailand’s rapidly expanding wellness economy with EA Wellness Club at The Empire, a major new integrated wellness and lifestyle destination planned for Bangkok’s central business district. The project will combine preventive health, longevity services, fitness, physical recovery, spa experiences, dining, relaxation and community activities within a single ecosystem designed to operate around the clock.

The development is being undertaken in collaboration with VitalLife Scientific Wellness Center, part of Bumrungrad International Hospital, which will contribute expertise in preventive healthcare and longevity medicine. Importantly, this Thailand Wellness News report comes as Thailand is aggressively strengthening its position in the international wellness industry, with investors increasingly viewing preventive health, healthy aging and wellness-focused real estate as major long-term opportunities.
Longevity Medicine Moves into Everyday Life
VitalLife is expected to advise on the health and longevity components of EA Wellness Club, including its concepts, services and medical standards. Planned offerings include preventive health assessments, body composition analysis, weight management, stress management and personalized health programs.
The underlying idea is to move healthcare beyond responding to illness after it develops. Instead, the project aims to make prevention and healthier longevity more closely connected with daily routines.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Polakit Teekakirikul, CEO of VitalLife and Esperance and chief science officer of Bumrungrad International Hospital and VitalLife, said the wellness sector is increasingly shifting toward prevention, healthy longevity and personalized approaches to care.
That strategy reflects a much broader global transformation. The Global Wellness Institute estimates that the worldwide wellness economy reached US$6.8 trillion in 2024 and projects it will expand at an average annual rate of 7.6% through 2029, potentially approaching US$9.8 trillion.
Thailand’s Wellness Boom Creates Perfect Timing
For AWC, the timing could prove particularly significant. Thailand’s wellness economy expanded from US$38.8 billion in 2023 to US$42.7 billion in 2024, representing growth of 10.1%. The country ranked 24th globally by wellness-economy size and ninth in the Asia-Pacific region.

Wellness tourism is performing even more dramatically. Spending in Thailand’s wellness tourism sector surged 36.4% between 2023 and 2024 to approximately US$14 billion, placing Thailand 15th worldwide in the category. Wellness real estate grew 22.9%, while the spa sector expanded 18%, according to the Global Wellness Institute.
Those figures suggest that EA Wellness Club is emerging as Bangkok competes for consumers who increasingly want health services integrated with travel, work, exercise and lifestyle experiences rather than isolated medical appointments.
Ice Baths, Recovery, Spa and Dining
EA Wellness Club is being designed to cover multiple dimensions of wellness. Proposed facilities and programs include exercise and movement, massage, spa treatments, nutrition, relaxation and water- and heat-based recovery.
Recovery offerings are expected to include ice baths and contrast therapy, alternating hot and cold exposure for users seeking post-exercise recovery and other wellness experiences. Personalized holistic programs will complement the physical facilities.
The destination is also planned around a 24-hour model, allowing exercise, work, dining, recovery, relaxation and social activities to take place at different times throughout the day. AWC describes the concept as a wellness community rather than simply another fitness club, spa or medical center.

The Empire Becomes a Wellness Ecosystem
The project also fits AWC’s wider transformation of The Empire into a mixed lifestyle destination connecting workplaces with hospitality, dining, community facilities and leisure.
Located in Bangkok’s central business district, The Empire already incorporates office and lifestyle components, including its Co-Living Space and EA Rooftop. EA Wellness Club would add a health-focused layer intended to serve office workers, Bangkok residents, expatriates and international travelers.
AWC CEO and President Wallapa Traisorat has positioned the project as part of the company’s strategy to build a community where healthcare, wellness, dining, relaxation and social interaction can coexist. The partnership with VitalLife provides the scientific and medical expertise needed to differentiate that proposition from conventional lifestyle developments.
A Bigger Test for Bangkok’s Wellness Ambitions
The first phase of EA Wellness Club is scheduled to open in 2026, with additional wellness and lifestyle components being introduced progressively toward a full rollout in 2027. Its significance may ultimately extend beyond another high-end Bangkok development.
If AWC and VitalLife successfully connect credible preventive healthcare with fitness, recovery, hospitality, food and everyday urban life, the project could demonstrate how Bangkok can participate more deeply in the global shift toward longevity-focused living. With Thailand’s wellness economy already expanding rapidly, EA Wellness Club could also become an important test of whether integrated urban wellness destinations can attract local consumers and international wellness travelers while making preventive health a more routine part of modern city life.
