Divana And China Airlines Take Thai Wellness to Global Travelers

by Nikhil Prasad

Thailand’s wellness industry is moving deeper into the international travel experience as luxury wellness and fragrance brand Divana joins forces with China Airlines to introduce a new cross-border initiative linking air travel with relaxation, rejuvenation, and Thai wellness culture. The partnership, unveiled through the “Fly Me To The Moon” campaign, centers on a “Luxury Wellness Journey” designed to connect travelers between Thailand, Taiwan, and other destinations across Asia and the wider world.

Running from September 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, the collaboration comes as travelers increasingly expect more from a journey than transportation and sightseeing. Instead, physical comfort, mental well-being, recovery, and meaningful lifestyle experiences are becoming important parts of travel decisions. In the middle of this shift, this Thailand Wellness News report examines how Divana and China Airlines are attempting to combine aviation and wellness into one continuous customer experience, beginning before departure and extending into a traveler’s stay in Thailand.

Wellness Moves Beyond the Spa

At the heart of the partnership is an effort to redefine wellness tourism as something that does not begin and end at a spa door. Divana is bringing its experience in Thai wellness, fragrances, and spa services together with China Airlines’ international aviation network to create multiple wellness-focused touchpoints during the travel journey.

The companies describe the strategy as part of a broader “Wellness Travel Ecosystem,” connecting travel, wellness, and lifestyle. It also provides another avenue for positioning Thailand internationally as a destination where visitors can pursue relaxation and improved well-being alongside conventional tourism experiences.

This approach could prove increasingly relevant as destinations across Asia compete for travelers interested in wellness, preventive health, restorative vacations, premium experiences, and longer stays centered on quality of life.

VIP Travelers Get an Early Taste of Thai Wellness

Under the Luxury Wellness Journey initiative, selected China Airlines customers will encounter Divana products even before reaching their destination. The airline will provide Divana products to VIP customers, giving international passengers an introduction to Thai wellness as part of their travel experience.

Eligible China Airlines passengers and members will also receive privileges covering Divana products and services, including spa treatments, with discounts of up to 20 percent depending on applicable program terms and conditions.

The benefits work in both directions. Divana members will be eligible for selected China Airlines privileges under the partnership’s terms, creating a reciprocal arrangement intended to provide additional value to customers of both companies.

The initiative will also include content and experience engagement activities encouraging consumers and content creators to share stories about travel, relaxation, wellness, and self-care. That social component could help extend the campaign beyond participating passengers by introducing Thai wellness experiences to audiences following travel and lifestyle content online.

Divana Sees Wellness as Part of Everyday Travel

Divana CEO Pattanapong Ranurak said the company believes wellness should not be treated simply as a temporary experience enjoyed during a spa visit. Instead, the brand wants wellness to become part of people’s lifestyles and their journeys.

According to Pattanapong, working with China Airlines provides an opportunity to use the strengths of the travel and wellness industries to build a customer journey stretching from pre-departure experiences through arrival, relaxation, rejuvenation, and self-care.

The longer-term ambition extends beyond promotional privileges between two companies. Divana wants the partnership to demonstrate how a wellness travel ecosystem could connect transportation and well-being while presenting Thailand differently to international visitors: not simply as somewhere to vacation, but as a destination capable of helping travelers feel better physically and mentally.

From Brand Partnership to Experience Partnership

Divana Chief Marketing Officer Thanet Jirasevakdilok characterized the project as a transition from a conventional brand partnership toward an “Experience Partnership.”

That distinction is significant because the companies are not relying solely on discounts or co-branded promotions. Instead, they want customers to encounter interconnected experiences at different stages, including before traveling, during the journey, after arriving in Thailand, and while incorporating wellness practices into everyday life.

Physical experiences, digital communication, social media, and consumer-generated content are expected to work together to expand that narrative. For Divana, this represents experience marketing in which customers themselves can become part of how a wellness story moves from one traveler to another.

China Airlines Targets a Changing Traveler

China Airlines Vice President for Southeast Asia Kenny Lu said passengers increasingly prioritize the quality of the entire travel experience rather than viewing a flight simply as transportation between destinations.

The partnership with Divana consequently gives the airline an opportunity to integrate wellness elements into travel itineraries while creating more distinctive experiences for passengers and loyalty members.

China Airlines also sees its connectivity between Thailand and Taiwan, together with its broader Asian and international network, as a platform for exposing more travelers to Thai wellness and lifestyle experiences.

Both companies have indicated that the collaboration could ultimately provide a foundation for additional initiatives if the current program proves successful.

A Bigger Opportunity for Thailand’s Wellness Economy

Throughout the campaign, Divana and China Airlines plan to progressively develop products, passenger privileges, spa experiences, wellness services, content, and engagement activities. Collectively, these elements reflect a travel philosophy increasingly concerned not merely with where people go, but with how they feel during and after their journeys.

For Thailand, the significance could extend beyond a partnership between one wellness company and one international airline. Integrating recognizable Thai wellness experiences into aviation and international travel channels offers another mechanism for bringing the country’s wellness identity directly to consumers before they arrive.

The broader opportunity is to transform Thai wellness from an activity travelers discover after reaching Thailand into an identifiable part of the journey itself. If partnerships linking airlines, hospitality, spas, lifestyle brands, and wellness providers continue developing, Thailand could strengthen its position in a global tourism market increasingly influenced by health, restoration, self-care, and quality-of-life considerations.

Divana and China Airlines are effectively testing how far that experience can travel. Their Luxury Wellness Journey suggests that the next phase of wellness tourism may be less about selling an isolated treatment and more about creating a connected experience that follows travelers across borders, airports, destinations, and daily life.
